Roast
1 Roast
- I get the smaller one since I am only feeding two people.
1 bunch of Garlic.
1 Onion, diced.
2 packets of brown gravy
This is the easiest recipe ever. Mix the gravy, both packets, put it in the slow cooker. Cut small slits in the roast and place a clove of garlic in each until you use the whole bunch. Put the now stuffed roast in the cooker and place the onions on top. Adjust the cooker to your user manual recommendations.
My slow cooker has only two settings low and high. I left the roast on high until Don got home at 3:30. He turned it down to low until I got home at six.
Carrots
1/4 cup of honey
2 tablespoons of butter (I use Smart Choice)
2 tablespoons of brown suger
1 bag of frozen baby carrots
- I couldn't find the baby carrots so I used the krinkle cut)
I put all the ingredients except the carrots in a 2 QT saucepan, I don't have many pots so this just does the job. I let those sweets meld together and then I add the carrots, about 3 minutes. After the carrots are in I usually let it sit awhile on a low heat til the carrots are soft. You should taste one to test the flavor. About 20 minutes.
Mashed Potatoes
I buy the instant kind and make according to the directions.
