we applied to the American Sheltie Rescue Center to get a dog. We had waited quite some time before doing this. Nothing really makes up for not having a pet in the home. We realized that after Jiff had passed. We hadn't planned on gettign a new pet. How can you after being in the presence of the Jiffmeister. But we did and are quite glad we were able to do this. There are so many pets out there without a home that its hard to imagine not wanting to give a pet a home.
Wonderful dog. Part Trasilvanian. He has been around forever with Don before we met. Unfortunately Don lost his best friend a couple of days after his birthday 2010. He is terribly missed by a lot of people, not just us. It was amazing how many people contacted us after his passing. I had no idea that a dog could reach that many people.

I wanted a dog, something small, cute, you know the drill. She was a wonderful dog, but we had trouble trying to train her and she was eating the kitchen away. This house that we had just bought, that we are trying to fix up and she was eating it. So we found her a new home. I was very upset about having no choice and didn't like the hard decision I had to make, but I did it none the less. I love how people love to judge you when they don't have to make a decision. Abbey currently lives with a well rounded family, by the lake and a park and goes for walks and plays constantly with friend's dogs.
My first pet out on my own. My friend Garrett ahd gotten me this cat. We went one day after work at Sears and we got to pick her out. She was the only one we could catch. She was fun at first and then destroyed everything. I gave her to a friend Jaime Dean to take care of after we moved out of the Sinclair Apt and she ended up keeping her. But at least I have pictures. These pictures were saved from Katrina but are kind of blurry. Plus I didn't have a scanner anymore so they had to be digitially taken.
This is Jason's pet really. He bought her for his job, long story. When it didn't work out he brought her home. So now we have a pet mouse. Who has a pet mouse? The crazies over in Apt. D would have a pet mouse.

My mom's dog. She is an AKC Labrador Retriever. Although they no longer have the papers. They were in the ouse when the storm hit and they never found them.
